VIDEO THRWBCK: Kraftwerk - Neon Lights (1978)
For all their rhetoric about being man-machines, Kraftwerk knew how to emote -- they just hid it well. One example, Kraftwerk's surprisingly serene paean to "Neon Lights," is perhaps not your typical display of emotion. But like its video, which shows the foursome chatting casually as neon signs float in and out of frame, their willingness to be shown as completely human is strangely endearing.
