SHINICHI OSAWA is one of the leading names in Japanese dance music. Making his name with acid jazz and deep house outfit Mondo Grosso in the mid-90s, Shinichi’s sound now welds together rock and electro sounds, with remixes for the likes of Felix da Housecat, Soulwax, Digitalism and Snow Patrol finding favour on dancefloors across the globe.
New single ‘Star Guitar’ is a cover of the Chemical Brothers’ anthem of the same name, and features the vocal talents of Brooklyn’s hotly-tipped Au Revoir Simone. Having received widespread support from a range of DJs, from Zane Lowe and Eddy Temple-Morris through to Annie Mac and Pete Tong, ‘Star Guitar’ is out now on Dim Mak Records along with the new long-awaited full-length album "The One". After selling 150,000 copies in Shinichi’s Japanese homeland, ‘The One’ is a great introduction to an artist whose profile on these shores is set to rocket over the next 12 months.
