A Camp is the side project of Nina Persson, frontwoman of Swedish pop successes The Cardigans, with her husband and American film composer Nathan Larson and Niclas Frisk, formerly of Swedish band Atomic Swing. After releasing a debut album in 2001, the trio dusted off the project last year when they all found themselves living in New York City, writing and recording a colorful, guest-heavy second album, Colonia, due April 28th through Nettwerk. We've got an exclusive version of the album track "Love Has Left The Room" from the band's Harlem Sessions, recorded live last fall with just Nina and a gallant baby grand. Persson's voice sounds heartbreaking next to anything, but against just a simple piano it really does some damage. Track is available gratis below and look out for A Camp on their first-ever US tour in May and June, dates after the links.
