19-year-old Australian producer Shazam came out of seemingly nowhere in 2007 when his neon-hued, female-voiced remix of Muscles' "Sweaty" quickly became the most played-out track from that twelve-inch. It's taken a minute, but now the Perth-based wunderkind is finally releasing "Pool Party," his first official solo release through Bang Gang 12"s, the label run by the well-known DJ crew of the same name.The record's A-Side, available for download below, is another chunk of the bubbly, tropical electro-house he's perfected in his recent spat of remixes, punching along on jagged bass and kaleidoscoping 80s synths. The Bang Gang crew are known for their particularly beach-ready brand of electro smashers, and this is sure to be one of their most heavily-aired efforts date. Pick up the full thing at Beatport.
