The rapid fire floor tom rolls at the beginning of "Percussion Gun" are the first sounds you hear on the new White Rabbits album, It's Frightening, warning shots that the New York quintet have returned in force. That relentless, sycnopated slam carries throughout the rest of the song (no snares here), while the band stretch their legs under the pummeling and singer Stephen Patterson stretches his wild-eyed voice around the whole thing. It's one of the best album openers we've heard in a minute and among our favorites on the Britt Daniel-produced album, which hits May 19th through TBD Records (also home to a little band called Radiohead). The song's available gratis below but also hit the break to peek the band's summer tour dates, including a stop at August's All Points West festival.
