DOWNLOAD: Woods - Rain On

Everymen of Brooklyn's current lo-fi party, Woods are more than just a really great band, they're like a self-contained force of production for their likeminded musical bros. Woodsist, their boutique label of tour-only cassettes and limited vinyl, recently put out records from Wavves, Blank Dogs, and themselves, but ordering from them online elicits a lot of the "email before you order" and "these won't get shipped until we get home" kind of warnings. It's a labor of love, people! The new Woods album Songs Of Shame hits April 14th through Shrimper/Woodist, right when the band will be in the midst of a brief European stint (dates at their MySpace.) It is really good and noisy and catchy and you should buy it. Their only show before they go is tonight at Death By Audio in Brooklyn with Tyvek. "Rain On" will certainly get a most righteous airing.
Sounds like: Wavves, Blank Dogs, Meneguar
