EXCLUSIVE NEW DOWNLOAD: Bot'Ox - Rue de l'Aresnal (Yuksek Remix) + Streams

Most casual dance fans were introduced to French duo Bot'Ox last year when they licensed their single "Babylon By Car" to DFA's international offshoot, Death From Abroad. But, of course, Cosmo Vitelli and Julien Briffaz have been pushing their blend of disco, electro, psychedelia, and krautrock for a few years now, releasing most of their work on boutique Parisian imprint I'm A Cliche, who put out Simian Mobile Disco's first single. Bot'Ox have returned with the first of three planned 2009 singles for IAC, the jack-heavy industrial disco epic "Arab Drift" backed with the more cerebral downtempo jawn, "Rue de l'Aresnal." Both are classically Bot'Ox--slow-speed chase music loaded with gooey synth phrases--and they've been getting support from people like James Murphy, Busy P, and Optimo. Fellow Frenchie Yuksek got his hands dirty working on a remix for the b-side, kicking things up a few BPM and adding what has become a signature stamp of rotund, 4/4 electro-house rhythms. Download the remix, stream the originals, and look out for the official thing on wax, it's due to hit shops today.

Sounds like: Joakim, Discodeine, David Rubato
