Each time we listen to Port O'Brien, their sea-gypsy folk never fails to mellow our temper and purify our (intensely hungover) spirits. But this track "Is This Really What Its Come To?" shows a new side to Port O' - leaving behind the Arcade Fire-esque group sings and allowing Van Pierszalowski to shine more on his own; it highlights his bluesy, alt-country twang ala M Ward and the sun-fried fuzzed-out guitar builds. They are playing all over the map in Austin this week and we assure you that it's definitely worth the effort to see their raucous pot-clanging sing-along live show.

Sounds Like: M Ward, Bowerbirds, Bodies of Water
