There is something so inoffensive about The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart that we often wonder if they are pulling something over on us. Like seriously, we shouldn't like music this tender. Their debut full-length for Slumberland is effortlessly enjoyable, loaded with damn good pop songs and absolutely zero filler. They're arguably one of the busiest bands down in Austin this week, due in large part to a Best New Music nod from Pitchfork and a spiraling array of praise from everyone else, but if you miss them at one of their million appearnces, fret not, they're also playing pretty much everywhere in North America and Europe over the next couple months (dates at their MySpace). So chill out, drink a lemonade or something, and enjoy this song from their new single, out March 31 through Slumberland.

Sounds like: Dinosaur Jr., The Breeders, My Bloody Valentine
