Like a younger, suburban America version of the Super Furry Animals, Drink Up Buttercup have a questionable name and loads of wonky pop songs, the sound of invading a Roald Dahl novel with guitars. The Philadelphia quartet is rolling some noteworthy CMJ coverage (New York Times holler) into a few appearances down in Tejas, all to support a new seven-inch for Kanine Records (Chairlift, Holy Hail) which drops April 7th.
