Undoubtedly one of this year's "bands-to-watch" in Austin is Providence-based The Low Anthem, an Waits-copping, tear-inducing trio who've garnered features from Rolling Stone and are prepping a summer touring schedule that includes stops at Bonnaroo, Glastonbury (seriously), and dates opening for Ray LaMontagne. Their self-released album Oh My God, Charlie Darwin has been a slept-on favorite of ours since we discovered it in the fall, and we're glad to share its opener--the arresting, falsetto come down "Charlie Darwin"--to get you amped for their many performances this week. They'll be the ones dropping jaws and providing safe haven from feedback headaches.

Sounds like: Bon Iver, Iron & Wine, Deer Tick
