Hey, Julie Doiron is back this spring and she's electric. It's true: the Canadian songbird released I Can Wonder What You Did WIth Your Day just last week and holy moly is it a heartbreaker in spots. Though only a glimpse, "Consolation Prize" finds Doiron in fine form, spilling heart-on-sleeve-and-every-other-shirt-part poetry over guitar that sounds a lot like a warthog up to no good. So you know, filthy yet dangerous. But a bit dangerous as well. Track is glorious and below as are Doiron's Austin dates this week.
