As you might be aware, we're fans of outside-the-box business models. So when we heard about Friends Of Friends and the Daedelus/Jogger split they were releasing as their flagship project, we got pretty stoked. Essentially, this is how it works: an artist--in this case sideburned electronics guru Daedelus--is chosen to do a split EP. That artist then chooses another artist to complete the EP (his bros in Jogger) as well as a designer to do the artwork for both the release and an accompanying, organically-made t-shirt. The t-shirt bundle also comes with a download card to all kinds of digital extras, in this case remixes from Michna, Eliot Lipp, Nosaj Thing, Thunderheist and more. Sound confusing? It's not, really. You just get a bunch of really cool stuff for one price ($32) or you can pick up the EP at regular digital retailers like usual. Included in the digital extras for this volume is a remix of the Daedalus track "Off To The Races" from our dudes in Meanest Man Contest. They've roped in rapper Cuzzo to flesh out a killer heavy bass remix, something that sounds like Scottie B playing laser tag Jesse Rose.
