EXCLUSIVE NEW DOWNLOAD: Tahiti Boy & The Palmtree Family - 1973 (Para One Remix) + That Song (feat. Tunde Adebimpe)

For a "new Parisian indie-pop sensation," 60s/70s folk-pop-loving Tahiti Boy & the Palmtree Family have a lot of pretty cool friends. On their new EP 1973, in addition to tracks that bubble over with a keen love for Brian Wilson, Paul McCartney and Ray Davies, is "That Song" featuring TVOTR's Tunde Adebimpe adding his unmistakable city-weary vocals to Tahiti Boys' sweetly French-accented crooning. Today's remix from Para One takes "1973"--a song so sun-dappled and optimistic the video had to be populated by fuzzy animals, animated creatures and singing trees--and fluffs the flutes, whistling, strings and chimes into a psychedelic skipping song. The rest of the EP is just as lovely and Tahiti Boy & the Family will be playing three shows in NYC before heading south to grace SXSW. Dates after the break.

Sounds Like: Zombie Zombie, Justice, Vampire Weekend, TV on the Radio
