LIVE: Michna hits the road with RAW PAW
In the months since we released Michna’s full-length debut – the gleaming booty-electro opus Magic Monday – Adrian Michna’s been a busy guy, DJing around NYC as Egg Foo Young, cooking up a storm, and assembling the four-piece band that would become the ultimate Michna live-show experience: Raw Paw. In Raw Paw, Michna works the turntables and laptop electronics (and blows a mean trombone) alongside friends on drums, bass, and trumpet. The quartet distends Magic Monday’s neck-deep beats into multi-instrumental jams – supplemented by eye-popping live video manipulation – that take the music’s energy to new heights of style and body-moving substance.
Michna and Raw Paw will be on tour throughout February and March. The (many, many) dates:
