STREAM: Prefuse 73 - Preperation's Kids Choir

Our buddies over at Warp have been busy prepping the new album from Prefuse 73, and today they finally unloaded the details--and a new track!--upon us. It will be titled Everything She Touched Turned Ampexian, a reference (we assume) to the fact that Prefuse--real name Guillermo Scott Herren--recorded the whole thing to traditional two-inch Ampex tape instead of a digital workstation. Aside from being like a million times more work, working with tape produces a much rounder, naturally distorted sound, and if you can afford it and know what you're doing (all that remixing work paying off now) the result is pretty awesome. So we are super stoked to hear this in full, but for now we will repeatedly jam the hustling, earthy grooves of "Preperation's Kids Choir," which at points sounds like helium-addled cherubs shouting over a J Dilla beat.
