Saint Etienne's RCRD LBL

First navigating seduced souls in the early Nineties, London trio Saint Etienne must cast their gaze around today and marvel at how much remains - to your left, the plaid-sheathed young and unkempt in thrall to American indie rock; to your right drug casualties of a mighty rave moment slipping sullenly into new dances. Still as 'on it' as ever, former music hacks Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs present a favourite RCRD LBL selection suitably comprised of crystalline female vocal trips and brainy beats. To your left, Vivian Girls' "Where Do You Run To"; to your right, Telepathe's "Chrome's On It" - fashions come full cycle, quality persists. That axiom saw Saint Etienne return this week with brand new double-A side "Method of Modern Love"/"This is Tomorrow", before 'Best of...' collection London Conversations arrives next week.
