EXCLUSIVE NEW DOWNLOAD: Buraka Som Sistema - Kalemba (Wegue Wegue) (Hot Chip Remix)

Aside from doing their own thing, releasing awesome records about making nerd love with drum machines, Hot Chip have been playing guest on a lot of dance tunes lately, hopping in the booth to do vocals for Jesse Rose's new single "Forget My Name," and working on their all-to-infrequent remix game. This job--like half of Radiohead's performance from the Grammys last night--is all about the drums, with the Chip adding some itchy techno stabs to the hyper-fast tempos of Portugal-via-Angola kuduro act Buraka Som Sistema. There's little trace of melody until a few minutes in, when some major chords gust through the drum cloud and we start dreaming of palm trees and Bacchanalia in the sun.
