DEMO DAYS: 02/04/09

Welcome to the first edition of Demo Days, a new weekly feature where we'll be highlighting a handful of recent submissions to our A&R department. We're always looking for new artists, so if you'd like to be included in a future installment, please drop us a line at aandr@rcrdlbl.com.
This week's line-up includes Jesse Woods, Murder Mystery, Peter Hadar, Renegado, and Lesser Panda (pictured).

Jesse Woods: Austin-based singer-songwriter still has yet to play a gig, but getting one shouldn't be a problem with these leathery, Deer Tick-ish tunes.
Jesse Woods - Hounds of Heaven

Murder Mystery: A droopy, cheeky indie-pop act from New York, Murder Mystery sound like your younger siblings discovering your old Pavement records and becoming more obsessed with them than you ever were.
Murder Mystery - Love Astronaut

Peter Hadar: Another Gotham-based artist, Hadar's bouncy, layered R&B workouts had him named as one of URB Mag's Next Top 100 in 2008.
Peter Hadar - Leave Ur Clothes

Renegado: A Brazilian rapper dabbling in ragga, dub, and traditional sounds, Renegado's tropicalia swagger is sun-soaked and makes us wish we spoke Portuguese.
Renegado - Conexão Alto Vera Cruz / Havana (feat. Alayo and Cubanito)
Renegado - Meu Canto (feat. Aline Calixto)

Lesser Panda: A young London outfit who've won comparisons to The Cure and started making moves in the capital's indie/dance scene.
Lesser Panda - Carousel (Drums of Death Remix)
