More fresh sounds from Brooklyn-via-Ghana hip-hop everyman Blitz The Ambassador, who's worked up an action movie credits jam with this new tune "Nothing To Lose." Over crime novel strings (all live, not sampled), some marshy drums, and a killer vocal from singer Kate Mattison on the hook, Blitz comes fired up and growly on the verse, weaving in and out of his own production--cocked gun samples, Tube Screamered guitars--like he's feeling the brevity of the twenty-four bars he's allowed. There's a lot in there, mostly musings on the hustle of the music industry, but all we can think of when listening to this is exploding cars and expensive suits. How else would you start a Monday?
