Today is the first business day of February, which means that 1) the worst part of winter is about to hit and 2) spring is less than two months away, and we will no longer have to wear three thousand layers to go and get a bagel in the morning. New York trio Twi The Humble Feather seem well suited for this time of year, their carefully arched falsettos and lulling acoustics making the change of seasons sound like going through puberty. They also kind of sound like your high school's a capella group if they'd moved to Iceland (pre-collapse) to make music in Sigur Ros' indoor-pool-turned-studio. What I'm saying is, this band is atmospheric, y'all. The group's album Music For Spaceships And Forests is available now through Friendly Ghost Recordings, and you can vibe out to them this Thursday at The Stone in New York City, and in March at Brooklyn's Glasslands Gallery and Music Hall Of Williamsburg.
