EXCLUSIVE NEW DOWNLOAD: Mike Bones - What I Have Left (Silk Flowers Remix)

We've talked about this new Mike Bones album that's coming out on The Social Registry. It's called A Fool For Everyone, and there's a song on it called "What I Have Left" that is the most remixed folk song in what seems like forever. Oh Shit Gang Gang Dance man Brian DeGraw tackled it first, working something that sounded like Barnum And Bailey 2-step; he was followed by fellow Registry members Sian Alice Group, who did a ceremony-at-sunrise version with a lot of organ (bonus points for that;) and now Silk Flowers--a lo-fi electronic trio from New York who'll be playing shows with artists like High Places, Soft Circle, and Nite Jewel in the near future--have given us this, which sounds like a lot of sirens being dunked into battery acid. Is there free electricity for these bands in the McKibbin Lofts? They must be powering like five hundred Boss Dr. Samples up in there.

A Fool For Everyone
hits stores next Tuesday, you can pre-order it over at the Social Registry's online store.

Sounds like: Eliot Lipp, Telepathe, Ducktails
