EXCLUSIVE NEW DOWNLOAD: Evan Voytas - I Live This Life Here For You + What Would I Do That For

It's ~~snowing like hell in New York today~~ (update: it's not snowing anymore but it's still hella cold out), so at least there are yellow and orange rays of light emanating from my computer speakers, the visual trails of Evan Voytas' chromatic schoolyard pop that's been mellowing the artic harshness all morning. The LA-based, 25-year-old multi-instrumentalist just inked a deal with us here at RCRD LBL, releasing his first two songs--the Secret-Machines-doing-Cocteau-Twins "I Live This Life Here For You" and the less epic, Evan Dando-ish "What Would I Do That For"--on perhaps the day that us East Coasters need them most. So yea, Thanks Evan.

Voytas will play the (we assume) much-warmer confines of LA's Pehrspace on January 24th, more details over at his MySpace.
