EXCLUSIVE NEW DOWNLOAD: Eliot Lipp - Laser Cave

There is something utterly Kraftwerkian about Eliot Lipp's "Laser Cave," either in the shoestring-and-tin-can bit of noise squirming around in the middle of everything, the haze of synth pads idling in the background, the percolating pieces of misconstrued sine waves, or just because every piece of electronic music made after the early seventies kind of sounds like Kraftwerk. But seriously, there is something to be said for Lipp's ability to create really sharp time-travel music like those German dudes, albeit on his own rap-reared, psych-inclined tip (the bell ride jazz breaks that peek in around the first minute mark = awesome). Lipp's new long-player Peace Love Weed 3D hits shelves on January 27th through Old Tacoma, a runner for electronic LP--and title--of the year thus far if there was one. Get a glimpse of the album's sprawl in the tunes we have, and if you dig make sure to buy the whole thing once it's released, it will melt your brain.

Sounds like: Michna, Prefuse 73, Men And Women
