VIDEO THRWBCK: Swing Kids - Warsaw (1996)
Looking back at all the great songs that made me the upstanding citizen that I am today, this one was an important jam for me. As a quick bit of background Swing Kids (who are reforming for some shows this spring) were from San Diego and one of the bands that really set me off to the whole artcore/Gravity Records thing. They also turned me on to Joy Division via this excellent cover. Don't know what much else to say other that ish is the truth and that I defy most bands today to match this. As singer Justin Pearson says in the clip, "this is for the f*cking kids!"
