EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE: We Have Band - Oh! (Yo! Majesty Remix)
You could forgive We Have Band for seeking out some dirt. The London trio met while working desk jobs at EMI and the lean contours of “Oh!” reflect that somehow – subversive in a quietly modish, suited and booted way their debut single lurches with the shackled menace of Pylon and with vocals that chime with Foals’ eerie melodics. It’s not until Yo! Majesty show up that white collars get dirty, however, as the Floridian electro-crunk duo slosh sizzurp into the production desk, playing with the dials to turn chic club-rock into a messy free-for-all driven on techno blast-beats and breathless rap cuttings.
