DOWNLOAD: Scotty Coats - Beautiful Ones + Double Fisted (Prins Thomas Disko Miks)
Scotty Coats' "Beautiful Ones" appeared earlier this year on Notwave, a compilation of No Wave-inspired tracks assembled by our friends at DFA Records and Rong Music. Buoyed by some synth drips that sound like Nickelodeon Gak bubbling through Moog filters, Coats' impressive work on "Beautiful Ones" spun into an additional twelve-inch for the DFA/Rong partnership. That single, "Double Fisted," was produced with Coats' DJ partner Wes The Mes and also features remix work from Norwegian producer Prins Thomas, master of Full Pupp and purveyor of general dance/dub cohesion. Today we're stoked to offer both "Beautiful Ones" and the Prins Thomas Disko Miks of "Double Fisted" for download. Both are pretty sunny and spacey in their own right, but paired with the mind-bending collage of footage that is the "Beautiful Ones" video (above), we kind of feel like we should be handing out free internet wayfarers with these.
