If you like Secret Machines-like guitar distortion, lofty shoe-gaze, and pedal-heavy guitar solos, "No Direction" will sear into your memory. Though the band has been through added and lost bandmates and labels, in their fourth album the Brooklyn-based Longwave oozed every ounce of frustration, regret, and discontent into pedal-pounding and guitar riffing. In "No Direction", Steve Schiltz delivers clean, crisp vocals with hint of insanity at the end of each wail while "Secrets Are Sincere" is light and lofty shoegaze - like The French Kicks meets The Verve on a sunny day.
