I started writing with Dale Grundle (aka The Sleeping Years) because I read of his debut album (after 3 stellar EPs) We're Becoming Islands One by One that it is "the perfect kind of music to fall in love to."  The cynical old New Yorker in me needed to hear the music of such a claim, and the newly optimistic Chicagoian in me believes that statement is true.  These delicate but robust tunes created by Irish troubadour Grundle, are nuggets of truth, beauty, simplicity and haunting depth.  And there are handclaps on "You and Me Against the World."  Optimism never sounded this honestly lovely.

Great tune- his voice with the cello is quite sublime and they were excellent at a recent gig in Dublin!
