It's about time the average American built some associations with Oklahoma City that don't involve bombing, and The Uglysuit are here to provide the flower-eyed PR fix. (I know, I know, The Flaming Lips, but I'm pretty sure they live mostly on Mars now). This is pop music straight up with a twist of Rhodes, and it reminds the listener thats its alright to listen to songs that make you feel warm, and happy, and slightly stoned. The Lips have certainly fought hard for those ideals, and its nice to see a new generation of Oklahomans heeding the call. Download and view live tomorrow.
