CMJ: Download: The Whip - Trash

I've never been to Manchester, but in my head its sort of a manic, post-industrial Gotham with raincoated lads and lasses standing on assembly lines and shaking uncontrollably at all hours, stopping only for tea and hooliganism. Factory Records, 24 Hour Party People and now The Whip have conspired to paint this muddled picture. Red synthesizers clash with orange guitars against a mauve digital canvas, and the Mancunians beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past. They're bringing their take on the aforementioned topics to 3 highly anticipated CMJ shows this year, and downloading "Trash" should just about get you up to speed.
