As is the rage these days, Brooklyn trio Au Revoir Simone are gearing up to release a remix LP on November 11, gathering an impressive selection of versions and covers of songs from their 2007 debut album The Bird Of Musc. The collection, titled Reverse Migration, features reworkings from The Teenagers, Best Fwends, Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip, and Darkel, but today we’re super excited to premiere Pacific!’s take on “Sad Song,” which is not at all morose but rather pretty damn peppy. Pacific! prescribe to that whole Gothenburg ecstasy-pop sound that groups like The Tough Alliance and The Sound Of Arrows have perfected, so this remix obviously sounds as juvenile and enticing as mint chocolate chip ice-cream cake.
