The son of a bassist & vocalist of 60s psych group Country Weather and named after Donovan Leitch, Donovan Quinn was destined to make music - but what kind of music to make?  Do you pull a Nelson and go 180 from your Dad's past or do you pull an Albert Hammond Jr. and continue the family tradition?  Donovan Quinn went more the later route, first with the Sykgreen Leopards' sunny psych-folk.  With his new solo project, Donovan Quinn & the 13th Month, he takes his hazy vocals and pairs them with striped down guitar work, earthy melodies and cleverly descriptive lyrics.  This is "American" music - combining folk, pop, ennui, country and sun-dappled psyche into something undeniably Donovan Quinn.  He plays at Pianos and the Bell House on Thursday and Cakeshop on Friday, stop by and have a reverie with Donovan.
