Like Frank Gehry's modern architecture, Brooklyn group mixes their tracks seamlessly so you can't tell where one layer begins and another ends; rather than analyzing the drum kicks versus the undulating synths, you focus on the overall piece and the psychological weight beneath it. Like their influences, Radiohead and Portishead, they are unafraid to delve into the darkness, their electronic instruments as paintbrushes.....Blast it loud; because, every once in a while, it's healthy to let go and sink into the dark side.
