EXCLUSIVE NEW DOWNLOAD: Medication - Don't Die

I don't remember how I stumbled upon Medication, but from the moment I heard the hollow, old-timey, rattling intro to "Don't Die," I knew this had to be on RCRD LBL.  Correspondence started with Medication, a kid named Mikey making "rotten home recordings" in New Milford Connecticut, and the question arose: How are you making music this hauntingly bad ass in New Milford?  I've been to New Milford, a pretty New England town with rivers that are super nice to swim in and winding unpaved roads.  Mikey had never been to/heard of any of the places I rattled off which leads me to believe this kid really just spends a lot of time making his 4-track sonic reductions - the perfect mix of lo-fi shoegaze mixed with forlorn pop songs in the vein of the Velvet Underground to Spiritualized.  I held off on posting about Medication because my buddy Todd, who puts out more quality music on Horizontal Action than you can shake a stick at, got to Medication before me.  This week the debut Medication 7" (featuring A-side "Don't Die") shipped and you can get your copy here - and you should get it soon.  1. Because Medication is genius and 2. Because most of the Horizontal Action 7"s disappear pretty fast.

Sounds Like: Spiritualized, the Velvet Underground, Panda Riot, Speck Mountain, The Smith Westerns
