A little after two minutes into “Meet Me In The Garden,” there is a pack of plump “wah-wahs” sung in the same kind of barbershop quartet steez that made the Beach Boys seem so lovable (not really) and that makes Dent May & His Magnificent Ukelele sound so...fertile. If this phrase is anything to go by, Mr. May’s garden has been seeing its fair share of Miracle Gro, and now he’s going all botanical Willy Wonka, narrating the track with some melodrama and a serious Lee Hazelwood jones. Enough garden metaphors. For those that favor brevity, this is your one-man-band sunny-soul jam of the day.

Early next year Paw Tracks will release his debut album The Good Feeling Music Of Dent May & His Magical Ukelele (creative, dude), and to support the Mississippi native will be slugging the Uke around the east coast in the coming week, concluding with a stop at the Paw Tracks CMJ showcase in New York City. Dates after the jump.
