VIDEO THRWBCK: Talking Heads - Once In A Lifetime (Live) [1984]
In Chris Rock's new HBO special "Kill The Messenger" there is a joke about how ringtones are the number one thing people waste their money on. That's kind of bogus. "Once In A Lifetime" is basically the ultimate ringtone and well worth two or so dollars to hear daily. This version from Stop Making Sense got us thinking about that. Essentially every ringtone is a budget rip-off of this song's utopian disco loop, only the original actually sounds like winning points on heaven's pinball machine.
