EXCLUSIVE DOWNLOAD: Black Osin - Number One + All There Was In The Deep Woods

There is something so deliciously old timey about Black Osin - from the accordion, melodophone, sparse guitar and Bert from Mary Poppins drum kit sounds playing songs that should be spilling onto a foggy street from an old pub - this is music from another time.  Listening to the 17 tracks the band sent over, I put little stars next to half of them and deciding what to share with RCRD LBL was tricky.  "Number One," sounds like the kind of song that would come from a song circle in Brooklyn with Dirty Projectors, TV on the Radio and Grizzly Bear sitting around coming up with tunes on the few instruments lying around.  "All There Was In the Deep Woods," is the song that really throws me though, producing the sort of deja vu that makes me wonder, what candle and gas-lamp lit room was I in when I heard this song on a cool night with the stars above?  Whether or not either of those scenarios ever happen, it's nice to know Black Osin is making music this undeniably lovely.

Sounds Like: Grizzly Bear, Scarlett Johansson, Orouni, Vadoinmessico, Department of Eagles
