While yesterday brought news that Carl and Gary’s post-Libs outfit Dirty Pretty Things was calling it a day, their former tourmates The Pigeon Detectives dropped us an exclusive bit of mod-y jangle to fill the void. Some mid-tempo brashness that’s somewhere between Franz Ferdinand’s stilted dance rhythms and The Paddingtons’ pub-punk squalor (only with better harmonies), “Get Up, Get Out” sees the torch succesfully passed from one Vox AC30 to another.
