DOWNLOAD: Red Eyed Legends - Monsters
.jpg)
As soon as they're done bailing out Wall Street, Congress needs to focus on an even more pressing project: building Punk Rock Mount Rushmore. I know that may sound frivolous, but its high time our nation recognizes its musical pioneers, and Red Eyed Legends' Chris Thomson deserves to be front and center. His resume is bananas: Circus Lupus, The Monorchid, Skull Kontrol, not to mention playing bass in Ignition, the first band that made it okay for my friends and I to listen to songs about feelings. "Monsters" is vintage Thomson, braying about god-knows-what over buzzsaw guitars and clattering drums, and its the first jam from Wake Up, Legend, out October 28th on a rebooted File 13 Records. Any band that did anything snotty, scuzzy or slightly math-y over the past 15 years owes this man a drink. Not downloading this would be, well, un-American.
Sounds Like: Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Monorchid, Le Shok
