I was going to call Ane Brun the Swedish Emmylou Harris and then realized maybe not everyone remembers square dancing in gym class as fondly as I do.  The songs on Ane Brun's Changing of the Seasons vary from the sweetly chirping "The Treehouse Song," to the dark, spooky piano balladry on "Ten Seconds" - my 2 favorites that RCRD LBL is proud to share with you today - but have ranges from Melanie to Joni Mitchell to Bjork to Dolly Parton that go from grandiose majesty to intense intimacy in Seasons' 13 songs.  This is a record made for rainy days or cigarette breaks at 2am but these 2 introductory songs fit perfectly into any day, at any time.
