Whoever it was, god bless the man that saved the Fender Rhodes organ from soft-rock elevator music obscurity. Thanks to you, I can safely jam out to an instrument that is only a few models away from that thing Holly Hunter’s brother plays in Home For The Holidays (side note: did you know Jodie Foster directed that film?) It also means songs like “Walk Out The Door” can get made by bands like The Voyeurs (who we’ve just signed to our RCRD LBL label), songs that slow down to a barroom crawl in the chorus, inching along like a buzzed caterpillar on a wooden floor. There’s even a jazz bridge, some doubled guitars and a coda that vamps with gratuitous crashes and bangs. Basically, that thing is USEFUL to make JAMS. And you thought it was just supposed to sit in Grandma’s living room until Uncle Chuckie wanted to sing "Piano Man" at Thanksgiving. Please. Download the new track from The Voyeurs below, and if you're in LA, catch the band tonight at the Silverlake Lounge and Saturday at the Afterknit Lounge. All the info is over at their MySpace.

Sounds like: Cold War Kids, Albert Hammond Jr., Okkervil River
