Like kids dream of ice cream in 100 degree weather, all summer we've been dreaming of watching Deerhunter in a tiny, intimate opium den, heads back and drooling, sipping scotch on the rocks. We'd float along to the band's ethereal, ambient waking dream sounds, dripping with no wave guitar reverb and wind chimes, glazed with Bradford Cox whispered verse. The conscious melding with the unconscious. Well, lucky us, such dreams will turn into a half reality tonight when Deerhunter performs in the red & black den, "Le Poisson Rouge" in NYC. Now alls we need is the opium.............Till then, we're head-spinning to the track below.
