Unlike most bands playing dive joints in their hometown of Nashville, Paper Route aren’t concerned with ten gallon hats and Merle Haggard covers. The four-piece play beguiling, uptempo post-punk, like The Get Up Kids jamming with U2 sans the egomania of Bono. “Empty House” rattles and hums just like those four fine Irishmen, all consistent Larry Mullen bass and glassy Edge guitar bits.
