Dirty Faces are a band on the rails. Nearly every song on their Brah Records release Get Right With God sounds like it's about to spin off the tape and end in a firey mess of blood and bones. Within the crazy ride that is the Dirty Faces, brilliance all of a sudden becomes glaringly apparent. The first two tracks, featured on RCRD LBL today, form a sort of fucked up fugue about working and trying to get high, seamlessly melding together in a blur of pure rock growl and sneer, screaming in one, "Run away!" like you are being chased by Hunter S. Thompson bats and in the other "You best believe!" like a preacher high on peyote.
