British trip-hop gods UNKLE are preparing to release their brand new compilation project End Titles… Stories For Film, a record stuffed to the brim with lush downtempo tracks that carry on the rich legacy UNKLE have trail-blazed from their conception in 1994 to today. Like most of UNKLE’s records, End Titles… is a collaborative piece, featuring guest spots from artists are varied as Josh Homme, Black Mountain, Gavin Clark, Joel Cadbury from South, James Petralli from White Denim and loads more cool people. Believe us when we say, it’s amazing.

To get all you guys hyped up about the release, UNKLE have decided to release tracks from the record on various Web sites completely free, and we’re super stoked to be one of the sites to host a songs. The track we’re giving away is called “Blade in the Back”, and it’s a heavy, hypnotic piece featuring guest vocals from Clayhill’s Gavin Clark. Two other tracks have been released, one on UNKLE’s official site, and one on Pitchfork. Tomorrow a track will be revealed on UNKLE fan site unkle77.com, thus completing the treasure hunt for new, awesome UNKLE material. Check out “Blade in the Back” below, as well as links to the other tracks floating around the world wide web.

Sounds like: Portishead, Tricky, Thievery Corporation
