Ethereal, light, shimmering electronic odes- Shugo Tokumar's work reminds us of the light playful patter of Sigur Ros (thank you xylophones) and the more feather-light folk of the Beatles. Since Shugo began crafting his delicate menageries of sound from his Tokyo apartment- we are lucky that his work has begun to flood across bandwidths and borders. Despite the dissemination, the song Parachute still has an alluring intimate quality about it - best played in a room of one's own- while lounging on one's own.
