The Lovely Sparrows are most definitely lovely. But, there's something else going on in their folk pop and hopefully you'll have an easier time putting your finger on what that is. I've been listening to these beardos for a few days and I'm still wondering why this band hasn't somehow become massive, why they haven't been blasted out of Austin like a swarm of cannonballs.

There's fine poetry, finger-picked cyclones, acoustic vine-swinging and both tracks available for download enjoy a certain inertia that all good wailers do. Almost as if they put themselves on repeat, you know? I'm sort of out of words here, so I apologize. These songs are just so.... great.
