Mixel Pixel match electronic experimentation with goofy humor. Exbihit 1: “Body Automatic” sounds like blues has been shot in the foot by ecstasy-provoked electronic synths- causing its soon-to-be-carcass to stumble around in a wigged out instrument-strewn blur. Exhibit 2: “Favorite Sweater” on reminds me of Liz Phair back-when-she-was-gritty-and-bold – EXCEPT it’s tamer and more PG-13 (i.e. all references to cunilingus et al has been subbed with cutesy lyrics about high school prom and stuff.) Exhibit 3: “Pink Shirts” definitely riffs from 1980's new wave synth obsession while tacking on some candy-coated modern glitch - ala White Williams.

Hmmm....since my imagination is running wild today, I realize I've thrown in an obnoxious amount of random references of artists and eras into one paragraph- so you might just want to listen to the jams below for a full prognosis.

Oh and tomorrow we are gonna debut two newbie exclusives from these guys. So grab it, cherish it, and keep tabs on tomorrow.

Sounds Like: Abe Vigoda, White Williams, Liz Phair, Old Dirty Bastard, Pink Mountaintops
