Brooklyn’s Amazing Baby come from the same scene that begat MGMT, Yeasayer and Chairlift, meaning that their intergalactic space rock is not only of-the-moment but has a hand in putting the borough on the musical map for the first time since the early ‘00s. But while that earlier scene was all about gloomy Interpol-ish types, this new Brooklyn is all about happy good vibes, maybe or maybe not aided by some sweet hallucinogenics. Maybe.
